Mistaken for giants.

I am coining phrases now. Mistaken for giants means that one assumes a depth of knowledge of another that they do not necessarily possess. So to use it in a sentence: Roger had a great deal of experience in print media, but when it came to the web he was mistaken for giants.

Use it.
